Fundraising must be for the nominated charity: DIRECT RELIEF. Activities are to commence on successful selection to the Basecamp Quest team i.e. in December 2018.

Local activities are to echo the charity’s ethos of being non-political, non-governmental, non-sectarian, and non-religious.

Donations are to be encouraged and directed online to the dedicated DIRECT RELIEF crowdfunding site that will be set up for DHL’s Everest Quest. Separate donation sites will be set up for each region’s Basecamp Quest team beneath the parent site.

Unfortunately not. The charity has been chosen because it is globally relevant and its International Programs have a global scope, much like those of DHL Express. In addition:

2. Their mission statement lines up with DPDHL's Connecting People, Improving Lives message: “Improve the health and lives of people affected by poverty and emergencies.”
3. The charity has been active for 70 years across 140 countries, including Nepal in 2015 and this year in Guatemala
4. It is non-governmental, non-sectarian, and not-for-profit. It provides assistance to people and communities without regard to politics, religious beliefs, or ethnic identities.
5. Donations received by DIRECT RELIEF will specifically and 100% go towards their International Program for Emergency Preparation & Response, which aligns closely to the locations where our Disaster Relief Teams are deployed.
